The BBEC careers team would always encourage you to attend as many open events as possible. Attending open events can help you to make an informed choice of college or 6th form, as they give you a ‘feel’ for the college and allow you to ask specialist tutors questions about the courses they offer. College staff should also be on hand to advise you regarding apprenticeship employment.
Usually, you will be able to apply at the open event and this is encouraged (as advised, you are not obligated to go to that college should you decide another is preferable).
Online applications will usually open shortly after the open event, and I would advise applying ASAP. Also please note the closing dates for applications (which are stated on the college websites and range from December - onwards).
