KEY STRENGTHS OF THE BUSINESS & ENTERPRISE CURRICULUM:
The Business curriculum at BBEC exceeds the National Curriculum because:
-
Business Studies and Enterprise follow the Edexcel specification at both GCSE & BTEC. This is a national exam board which is highly respected.
-
The curriculum is mapped to follow the order of the completion of the exams and is chunked according to specification points, providing students with a logical progression through the GCSE & BTEC programmes.
-
Students are provided with independent learning resources that can be accessed through Teams & Knowitallninja to develop their own knowledge on their own and to address any gaps that they may have. This enables them to develop their knowledge over time in a way that is most effective for their individual needs.
-
We have experienced teachers with long term experience teaching key stage 4 and 5 Business and Enterprise.
-
Teachers include expert examiners from the exam boards and mark for the Edexcel Business specification.
-
Regular feedback given both verbally and written form to allow students to respond to so that they can actively control and see their progress. Model answers are also shared.
-
Current reading materials explored by bringing the news and current affairs into lessons.
-
The curriculum provides the skills and knowledge to set students up to study Business & Enterprise at KS5
-
Deliver engaging challenging lessons which have led to good results and a popular choice for options.
